Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC in Glen Allen, VA, is seeking a SUE Field Technician I to support subsurface utility engineering on projects nationwide, contributing to accurate data collection and field operations.

You will assist in identifying utilities and structures on plans and in the field, operate and maintain equipment, help implement traffic control plans, and record data precisely while traveling to sites and driving company vehicles.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel for extended periods.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to walk long distances with surveying equipment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and loading/unloading equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet MVR standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying utilities, structures on plans and in the field.
• Operate and maintain company tools and equipment.
• Assist in the implementation of approved traffic control plans.
• Actively work toward obtaining the skills in the certification program required for advancement.
• Record data accurately in the field.
• Drive commercial motor vehicles.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
