Job summary

SAM is seeking a SUE Field Technician to support nationwide geospatial & mapping projects. You will designate utilities, lead small field crews, collect vault data, and coordinate with survey teams in the field.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of SUE field experience, knowledge of ASCE 38 quality levels, and a valid driver's license. Travel for extended periods is expected; safety certifications and experience with GPR equipment are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of SUE field experience.
• Familiarity with ASCE 38 quality levels.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• Experience leading field crews is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designate utilities in rural and urban environments using field data.
• Lead 2-person designation teams and collect vault data.
• Operate VRS GPR and collect mapping data for 2DB/3DB projects.
• Coordinate with internal survey crews in the field.
• Travel for extended periods as required.
