Job summary

Center Point, Inc. is seeking a Counselor to work under the Men's Residential Program Manager, providing individual and group services to participants and coordinating with community partners and government agencies to support reentry and recovery.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, information referral, advocacy, and recovery-oriented systems of care.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health systems.
• Experience with justice-involved individuals is preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (SmartCare) is preferred.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to maintain timely documentation.
• Must pass DOJ Live Scan background check and TB test; CA driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and group services using evidence-based and participant-centered practices.
• Deliver services in accordance with Drug Medi-Cal and Medi-Cal standards of practice and care.
