Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a Full-Time Day Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Assessor at Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center (BCBIC) in Baltimore, Maryland. The role conducts initial and ongoing assessments to determine treatment needs and references patients to SUD counseling and re-entry services.

The assessor collaborates with medical staff and custody personnel, screens new admissions, follows up to ensure resource access, and helps identify patients missed during initial screening for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Sciences required or preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients and healthcare providers effectively.
• Experience in corrections/substance use settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine treatment needs and refer to SUD counseling and re-entry services.
• Refer patients for coincident medical, mental health, and re-entry services as needed.
• Follow up with patients to ensure access to resources and identify those missed during initial screening.
