Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Day Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Assessor for the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore, MD. You will conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine treatment needs and refer patients for addiction counseling and re-entry services.

The role involves screening entrants, coordinating with medical staff, custody, and housing rounds to identify missed cases and ensure patients receive required resources.

Qualifications

• Peer Recovery Specialist or bachelor’s degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Sciences (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field).
• Comfort communicating with patients and healthcare providers.
• Experience in corrections/substance use programs preferred.
• Must be CPR/BLS certified and able to obtain security clearance.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Day Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Assessor to join our team at Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center (BCBIC) located in Baltimore, Maryland.The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in substance use programs to determine substance use treatment needs. They conduct initial screening assessments for those entering the facility and refer patients for addiction medical, substance use counseling and re-entry services as needed. They are also responsible for following up with the patient to make sure they are receiving the desired resources. SUD Assessors also help the team identify people missed on the initial screening through working with the medical team, custody staff and making rounds on the housing tiers.
