• Other Duties: Depending on the situation, substitute teachers may also be assigned other tasks, such as assisting with non‑classroom duties.
• Long‑Term Substitutions: In some cases, substitute teachers may be assigned for extended periods, requiring them to develop their own lesson plans and adapt to different teaching styles and subjects as well as grade assignments, monitor student progress, and provide feedback to the regular teacher.

English Valleys CSD is based out of North English, IA, which is located 15 minutes south of I-80 and approx. 30 miles west of Iowa City.

The ideal candidate would love kids and be willing to step in on a moment's notice to keep the school day running smoothly.

A substitute teacher's job involves temporarily taking over a regular teacher's responsibilities, including teaching lessons, maintaining classroom management, and ensuring student safety.
