Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time substitute teacher who will participate actively in a local church and demonstrate strong communication with students and volunteers.

You will complete substitute teacher training, teach LifeWise classes when needed, and maintain a safe, well-organized classroom following LifeWise policies. Attendance and duty coordination with the teacher are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, following provided lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment according to LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance each class and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate plans with volunteers.
• Coordinate with the teacher and assign duties to volunteers.
