Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to support biblical teaching and classroom management. You will complete substitute teacher training, teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, and implement the provided curriculum.

You will maintain a safe, organized classroom, follow discipline policies, take attendance, communicate with the teacher and volunteers, and serve as an ambassador in the community. Active church involvement is required.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
