St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is seeking a Substitute Teacher to support the Curriculum Specialist and assist in delivering a developmentally appropriate program. In the absence of the lead teacher, you will provide a stimulating environment, implement the lesson plan, and ensure safety, growth, and well-being of children.

You will also maintain records, engage families, and work with staff to uphold center policies and CDA competencies, fostering a positive, respectful community.

Responsabilidades

• Follow the lead teacher's lesson plan to provide a safe, stimulating environment.
• Provide materials and arrange the room to suit developmental levels and learning styles.
• Establish routines, simple rules, and positive guidance for children and adults.
• Encourage language development and creative expression through activities.
• Support independence and self-identity, and foster mutual respect.
• Maintain records (meals, attendance, individualized documentation).
• Collaborate with staff to implement center plans, policies and rules.
• Follow written policies established by the Center and Health Department.
• Demonstrate CDA competencies in safe environment, development, relationships, and professionalism.
• Uphold center values and participate in events.
• Create a caring atmosphere for staff, volunteers, and clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
