St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore seeks an Education Specialist to create a safe, stimulating classroom that supports Head Start standards and kindergarten readiness. You will plan engaging activities, assess children’s development, and maintain accurate progress records.

You will collaborate with families to encourage parent involvement through conferences and home visits, while upholding the center’s mission and participating in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Education required; Early Childhood Education preferred.
• One year classroom experience preferred.
• Experience with populations served (homelessness/at-risk) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide a safe, stimulating classroom environment that meets Head Start standards and implements lesson plans for kindergarten readiness.
• Plan lessons and activities to prepare children for kindergarten readiness and develop weekly lesson plans.
• Assess each child’s development and document progress regularly; maintain records.
• Engage parents, plan conferences, and partner with families to support continuous education.
• Uphold the Center’s mission and participate in professional development and staff activities.
