Pathways In Education is dedicated to helping students graduate with a high school diploma and prepare for college, a career, or other paths. We provide 1:1 guidance from teachers and counselors, a blended learning approach, and curriculum tailored to Arizona State Standards to fit diverse learning styles.

The ideal candidate will prepare focused interventions, teach multiple subjects, and collaborate with parents, students, and staff to improve attendance and academic outcomes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Some teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
• Ability to teach and delegate responsibility to students.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare focused interventions for student’s academic success.
• Instruct students in multiple subjects, using various teaching methods.
• Prepare outline for course of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers to seek alternative interventions to motivate and prevent dropouts.
• Counsel students in adjustment and academic problems.
• Collaborate with parents, students and teachers to improve attendance.
• Meet with students and parents to discuss student progress and problems.
• Administer tests to evaluate pupil progress and record results.
