Job summary

Pathways In Education - Arizona, Inc. is seeking an experienced educator to instruct students across multiple subjects using diverse teaching methods and technologies in a supportive center.

The ideal candidate will prepare curricula, advise students on course selection, meet with families to discuss progress, administer assessments, and maintain records. A BA/BS with Arizona secondary education certification is required; blended learning experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree with Arizona Provisional or Standard Secondary Education, 6-12 certificate.
• Experience with educational technology and online teaching preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with students and parents.
• Proficiency in MS Office and database management.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in multiple subjects using various teaching methods and materials.
• Prepare outlines for course of study following curriculum guidelines.
• Assist pupils in selecting a course of study.
• Counsel students in adjustment and academic problems.
• Participate in meetings, conferences, and workshops.
• Meet with students and parents to discuss progress.
• Administer tests to evaluate pupil progress and record results.
• Maintain attendance records, student files, and transcripts.
• Assist with state-mandated student testing.
• Maintain a clean, inviting, professional center for students.
• Perform other administrative functions and duties as assigned.
