Pay

Substitute Teacher and Paraprofessional positions are paid at a daily rate, equivalent to approximately $15.00–$15.63 per hour, depending on the assignment. Specific pay rates will be shared for each available assignment.

What You'll Do

• Following lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher
• Encouraging student participation and engagement
• Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive atmosphere
• Adapting instruction and support to meet individual student needs
• Supervising students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and playgrounds
• Assisting with classroom activities and assignments
• Helping ensure students remain safe, supported, and on task throughout the school day

Qualifications

• Have at least 36 college credit hours in any subject OR complete a Missouri DESE-approved online substitute training program
• Obtain a Missouri Substitute Certificate or Teaching License
• Complete a fingerprint background check (contact Penmac before scheduling this step)
• Successfully complete required Penmac training
