SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, Full-time, Part-time, or Float opportunities. Hours may vary based on program needs.

REPORTS TO: Director of Building and Grounds, Building Engineers, Building Principals

SUPERVISION: None

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Similar job-related experience, Bilingual.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Custodian is a contact point for students, teachers, support staff, colleagues, and parents. Responsible for daily building operations including cleaning, grounds maintenance, community activities, special events, security, safety, and other assigned functions.

SALARY:

$16.25/hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Direct Service: Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing floors, sanitizing bathrooms, washing chairs, desks, chalkboards, emptying trash, and cleaning locker rooms.
2. Assist in moving furniture and delivering supplies with staff.
3. Maintain grounds by trimming lawns, shoveling, and snow removal.
4. Clean and maintain cafeteria and equipment.
5. Maintain building security.
6. Handle cleaning of body fluids and secretions.
7. Customer Support: Support setup for events, collaborate with staff, communicate effectively, and respect dignity of all.
8. Administrative Support: Keep records, monitor supplies, coordinate with community groups, and adhere to data privacy policies.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Includes standing, walking, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, working with chemicals, and outdoor activities in inclement weather.
