Performs daily production, serving, and cleaning duties for the school lunch program. Meets and greets students and assists them with making healthy menu selections. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or appropriate equivalent is preferred. One year experience in the field of food service is preferred.
Possession of a valid class C Maryland driver’s license or an equivalent.
Knowledge of school system safety, procedural, and policy guidelines, and applicable safety regulations.
Ability to understand and speak English. Ability to maintain good relationships with teachers, students, and other employees. Good human relations and communication skills.
Work performed in a kitchen and cafeteria environment. Duties require frequent lifting and carrying including objects up to 50 pounds, the ability to bend and kneel on a regular basis, and the ability to stand for three hours or more consecutively. Also requires the ability to withstand extreme temperatures of hot and cold.
Annual completion of continuing education/training in accordance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Professional Standards for School Nutrition Employees.
$15.00 - $18.12 per hour.
