Applitrack is seeking a Substitute Daily Aide for our school food service program. The role involves assisting in food preparation, serving meals, and helping maintain an orderly cafeteria environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and prior experience in school food service. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with good communication and teamwork skills being essential.

Food Service - Substitute Daily Aide

Position Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the Food Service Director and building Principal, to assist in food preparation, serving lines, clean-up and maintaining an orderly and safe atmosphere in the cafeteria

Essential Functions:

• Assists in food preparation
• Assists in line service setup, break down, clean-up
• Assists in making sure that counters, food prep station, tables and surrounding areas are clean.
• Assists in serving meals during breakfast and/or lunch mealtimes
• Assists students with orderly food purchases, distribution of food, disposal of food waste, and return of trays and utensils.

Additional Duties

• Re-stocking food items from cold/warm storage locations
• May collect count and deposit food services program monies.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications Profile

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Experience:

Successful prior experience working in a food service industry, preferably in a school district or with children.
