Job summary

Innovation Learning Inc. in Fox Lake, IL, is seeking a part-time Resilience Coach to support after-school and summer programs at Lotus and Gavin Schools.

You will mentor students, lead activities, help with homework, and promote safety and positive behavior, reporting to the site leadership.

CPR/First Aid is preferred; compensation ranges from $19 to $21 per hour, with background checks required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Location: School-Based Program Sites:

Lotus School in Fox Lake

Gavin School in Ingleside

Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership

Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)

Lotus: Monday-Friday: 2:20PM-6PM

Gavin: Monday-Friday: 6:30AM-8:30AM and 3PM-6PM

At this time, we are looking for candidates who are able to work on an 'as-needed' basis as a substitute. Weekly hours are not guaranteed and are based on the needs of our program(s).

Pay: $19-21/hour, Based on experience and region

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement & Support

• Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.
• Serve as a role model by promoting respect, responsibility, and resilience.
• Support students through positive behavior guidance and conflict resolution.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.

Program Delivery

• Lead engaging enrichment, recreation, and team‑building activities.
• Facilitate homework help and academic support sessions.
• Participate in games, fitness activities, and outdoor play.
• Help students develop social‑emotional and leadership skills.

Program Operations

• Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
• Support student check‑in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
