Job summary

Innovation Learning is seeking a Resilience Coach for our school-based program sites in Fox Lake and Ingleside. This part-time role supports before/after school programs, school breaks, and summer programs, with site hours at Lotus School in Fox Lake (2:20 PM–6 PM) and Gavin School in Ingleside (6:30 AM–8:30 AM and 3 PM–6 PM).

The position is on an as-needed basis, with pay ranging from $19–$21/hour based on experience and region. Comprehensive background checks apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in schools or youth programs preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Positive attitude and passion for youth development.

Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership

Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)

Lotus: Monday-Friday: 2:20PM-6PM

Gavin: Monday-Friday: 6:30AM-8:30AM and 3PM-6PM

At this time, we are looking for candidates who are able to work on an 'as-needed' basis as a substitute. Weekly hours are not guaranteed and are based on the needs of our program(s).

Pay: $19-21/hour, Based on experience and region

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement & Support

Program Delivery

• Lead engaging enrichment, recreation, and team‑building activities.

• Help students develop social‑emotional and leadership skills.

Program Operations

• Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
• Support student check‑in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
