Job summary

MeshGrid HR is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineering Manager to lead a team supporting high-voltage substation and grid infrastructure projects. This hands-on leadership role combines people management, technical oversight, resource planning, and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 15+ years of civil/structural engineering experience in high-voltage substations or similar power infrastructure.
• 5+ years leading civil/structural engineering teams.
• Active PE license in the United States with ability to review and seal work.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of civil and structural engineers for substation projects.
• Manage staffing, workload forecasting, resource allocation, recruiting, and succession planning.
• Provide technical oversight for civil/structural design across AIS, GIS, FACTS, HVDC, and related facilities.
• Guide projects from kickoff through design reviews, construction support, and closeout.
• Oversee designs for foundations, structural steel, equipment supports, enclosures, duct banks, and site development.
