American Electric Power is seeking a Station Servicer to install, maintain, operate, inspect, repair and remove station equipment. You will respond to emergency calls, perform switching, inspect stations, and oversee contractor work within the North Charleston Service Center area near Charleston, WV.

The role requires a CDL, 2 years of related experience or an associate degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance technology, and the ability to travel as needed.

Formación

• Associate degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance technology or equivalent education/experience.
• 24 months of satisfactory work experience as Station Servicer A or as Station Electrician A with additional requirements.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to emergency calls on station trouble and coordinate prompt restoration of service.
• Perform routine and emergency switching operations at substations and for line construction.
• Inspect assigned stations and oversee maintenance contractors; report major repairs.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs; collect data and renew transformer fuses.
