Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in Charleston, WV is seeking a Station Servicer to support installation, maintenance, operation, inspection, repair and removal of station equipment. You will respond to emergencies and coordinate rapid service restoration for customers, under supervision as required.

The role requires living within 45 minutes of the North Charleston Service Center and adherence to safety and commissioning procedures to ensure NERC compliance.

Qualifications

• Thorough working knowledge of electricity and station equipment functions.
• Experience with maintenance and repair tasks in electrical infrastructure is preferred.
• Willingness to relocate within 45 minutes of the North Charleston Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls on station trouble and coordinate prompt restoration of service.
• Perform routine and emergency switching operations at substations.
• Inspect and oversee maintenance contractors; report major repairs as required.
• Lead DC Supply installation and repair work and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain records and prepare reports using standard Asset software.
