Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an experienced professional to support the operation, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying and power control equipment at the Golden Service Center. Qualifications

• Associates Degree or other Certification in Electronics Technology, Applied Electronic Engineering, or Associate in Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the operation, maintenance, and testing of System protective and/or System power control equipment.
• Ability to use computer software and test equipment for protective relaying and power control/monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, test, and protect electric system power production and delivery equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding tasks, schedules, and coordination.
• Establish and maintain strong customer rapport and teamwork across departments.
• Complete tasks on schedule with safety and cost-efficiency in mind.
• Travel as required and work in varied weather and confined spaces.
