Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or Master’s in lieu
• PE preferred; FE exam acceptable
• Engineer II requires 2+ years of engineering experience; Engineer III requires 4+ years
• US work authorization without sponsorship—required now or in the future
• Utility industry experience desired; protection tools and standards knowledge desired
• Knowledge of relay protection schemes, NERC PRC/CIP standards, and various relay types desired

Responsibilities

• Perform studies, calculations, and settings development for substation protective relays
• Apply new protective relaying for planned projects
• Integrate new designs into legacy systems where needed
• Support implementation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting
• Coordinate with stakeholder teams and maintain accurate records
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, calculations, and sketches
