Job summary

Qualifications

• BS EE with power systems focus or MS in engineering in lieu of BS
• International degrees considered for the role
• 3+ years of experience developing complete utility substation P&C engineering design packages
• Experience with AC one-line and three-line diagrams, DC schematics, logic/functional diagrams, panel layouts, interconnection diagrams, relaying equipment specifications, and bills of materials

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver complete P&C engineering design packages for utility substations
• Create protective relaying and communications system packages, including one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Develop SCADA packages and input/output lists
• Coordinate with Substation Physical Engineering, Relay Settings, and other groups to ensure design concurrence
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to drafters and engineers
• Maintain trusted client relationships and present technical solutions to customers
• Participate in client meetings and site visits to collect or deliver data
• Work independently under supervision for complex projects
