Leidos seeks a Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design relay one-lines, three-lines and AC/DC schematics for utilities up to 500kV from our Pittsburgh, PA office with hybrid/remote options.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years in P&C design or testing, CAD experience, and strong communication. The role offers PE licensure support and career development within a diverse utility client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of substation P&C design/testing experience.
• Ability to read and design P&C drawings: one-lines, three-lines, AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and clients.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Design relay one-lines, three-line AC schematics, and DC protection schematics.
• Create panel layouts and wiring diagrams; develop bills of material.
• Perform QC checks on wiring designs; support projects from scoping to construction.
• Apply NESC requirements and client standards; collaborate with designers/drafters.
