Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Senior / Lead Substation Protection & Controls Engineer to own complex P&C designs across 12-500 kV systems. You will develop relay diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and control panels, while leading a team through design, energization, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of substation protection & control design experience.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of substation protection and control design projects.
• Create relay one-line diagrams defining protection zones and topology.
• Develop detailed AC schematics showing current, voltage, and device relationships.
• Produce DC control/protection schematics for safe operation of substation equipment.
• Design control panels, wiring diagrams, and layouts for constructability.
• Build accurate BOMs in line with standards and client requirements.
• Perform QC checks on wiring and schematics for accuracy and safety.
• Provide guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning.
