American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a seasoned Major Projects Procurement Manager to serve as the primary procurement liaison within project teams in Corpus Christi, TX. You will lead integration across materials, equipment, services, and contracting to ensure successful delivery.

The role focuses on developing the integrated procurement plan, mitigating risks, and aligning procurement activities with project milestones, while reporting to project leadership on readiness and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience; or
• High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contracting, supplier management, supply markets, manufacturing lead times, and delivery assurance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary procurement liaison and single point of coordination for assigned major projects.
• Develop, maintain, and drive the integrated project procurement plan, ensuring alignment with milestones.
• Translate project schedules and objectives into coordinated procurement, sourcing, contracting, supplier and material plans.
• Represent project material and capacity requirements within portfolio planning and incorporate decisions.
• Maintain procurement dashboards and risk registers; provide executive visibility into milestones and actions.
