Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Project Engineer to join our growing Power Delivery team. This role focuses on substation design, protection and control, and coordination with related disciplines across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and 4+ years of substation design experience; proficiency with PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit, with willingness to travel for project needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Minimum 4 years of experience in substation design.
Experience with one-line diagrams, general arrangements, grounding, conduit plans, and relay/control systems.

Responsibilities

Support preparing scopes, schedules, and budgets and ensure schedules/budgets are met.
Understand substation design aspects (yard layouts, grounding, protection, panels) and related BOMs.
Coordinate design activities with Civil/Structural, Networks, Transmission, and others; communicate with managers/clients.
