Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting is seeking a Senior Utility Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for electric utility substation capital projects. You will work with Project Managers, internal stakeholders, and external consultants to coordinate activities and ensure on-time delivery while meeting utility standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, rigorous reviews, and proactive issue resolution to maintain project schedules and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience supporting electric utility projects.
• Experience with substation engineering and capital project delivery.
• Solid understanding of substation engineering principles and utility standards.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, design packages, specifications, and documents.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites up to 2 times per month.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, design packages, specifications, and technical documentation for substation capital projects.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables between internal stakeholders, Project Managers, and external consultants.
• Support engineering reviews to ensure compliance with utility standards and project requirements.
• Partner with Project Managers to monitor schedules, track deliverables, and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and periodic site visits to support coordination.
• Serve as the primary engineering liaison between utility personnel, consultants, construction teams, and other stakeholders.
• Review engineering documentation for accuracy and adherence to company practices.
• Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities to improve engineering processes.
