Job summary

VELCO is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Substation Program in Vermont. You will manage capital projects from conception through completion, coordinating resources, budgets, and timelines while engaging with regulators, landowners, and external partners.

The role offers progression from Associate to Senior levels with clear advancement paths and a strong emphasis on collaboration across engineering, finance, and operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering, IT, PM or Business Management.
• 2–4 years in project management, project controls or related field.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, IT, PM or Business Management.
• Senior level: 7+ years of experience managing projects with increasing complexity.
• Master’s Degree or PMP/PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning sessions.
• Coordinate internal and external resources.
• Manage project progress and deadlines.
• Develop, sign off and oversee contracts for materials/services.
• Develop annual capital budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Provide testimony during Certificate of Public Good proceedings.
