Job summary

VELCO - Vermont Electric Power Company seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead Substation program initiatives, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with regulatory staff, the public, landowners, and utility partners.

The role supports capital program execution across multiple levels (Associate to Senior) with growth into higher responsibility, mentoring others, and contributing to strategic project delivery in Vermont’s transmission network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering/IT/PM/Business Management.
• 2–4 years PM experience for Associate/Junior level.
• 2–4 years PM experience for Mid-Career level.
• 7+ years PM experience for Senior level; PMP/PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning sessions.
• Coordinate internal and external resources.
• Manage project scope, schedule and budget.
• Represent company with regulators, stakeholders, and public.
• Develop bidding documents and contracts.
• Develop annual capital budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Provide reports to management and the VELCO Board.
• Develop commissioning plans and schedules.
• Develop outage schedules when necessary.
• Monitor staff and contractor performance.
