Job summary

FirstEnergy in Greensburg, PA is seeking a Substation Planner to coordinate planning, scheduling, and technical support for substation operations and construction, ensuring safe, reliable delivery of electric service.

You will work with supervision, engineers, crews, contractors, and external stakeholders to plan work, manage packages, and maintain records in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and plan/ schedule substation maintenance, construction, and capital projects.
• Coordinate work activities, staffing, equipment, and materials; manage work packages and scheduling.
• Maintain records and assist with regulatory compliance and project closeout.
• Support work management, mapping, outage management, and GIS applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, operations, contractors, and stakeholders to review scope and logistics.
• Travel to substations and construction sites as needed.
