Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Construction Site Coordinator to supervise pre‑construction, construction, and post‑construction activities for transmission and distribution projects in Easton, PA. You will coordinate schedules, safety standards, and stakeholder communication on substation and line work.

The role requires a BS in Construction Management or 3 years of related experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Or, in lieu of a degree, 3 years of commercial or industrial construction experience.
• Experience in electrical substation and/or line construction preferred.
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills for resolving compliance issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to deliver quality work within deadlines.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, results-oriented.
• Sound analytical and judgment skills, timely execution of responsibilities.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise larger substation/line projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Foster a high‑performing safety culture through personal conduct and human performance principles.
• Coordinate and supervise smaller to medium‑size projects or support larger projects under the supervision of more experienced CSCs.
• Understand the scope, constraints, and requirements of assigned projects.
• Develop and use schedules, including CPM calculations, float, and predecessors.
• Proactively manage scheduled tasks and report schedule progress.
• Participate in developing contractor bid packages and pre‑bid meetings, documenting and following up on action items.
• Assist in constructability reviews with site walk‑downs.
• Coordinate material requests and verify deliveries at the project site.
• Coordinate staking of structures and wetlands, understanding impacts on cost and schedule of values.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards and specifications.
• Inspect contractor work against design and construction standards.
• Implement construction risk management plans and document site meetings on safety, performance, quality, or schedule issues.
• Ensure stakeholders have necessary permit copies.
• Maintain digital/printed copies of the red‑line drawings.
• Participate in contractor evaluation, project review meetings, and lessons‑learned sessions.
• Apply ethics guidelines consistently in stakeholder interactions.
