Pike Corporation is seeking a Substation Design Engineer to provide substation physical design, technical support, and project coordination for Transmission Substation projects. You will contribute to safe, cost-effective, and high-quality designs across voltage ranges including battery energy storage and solar substations.

Responsibilities include drafting sections and details, validating grounding and bus layouts, and coordinating with protection/control and civil/structural teams.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of CAD 2D/3D experience.
• Proven AutoCAD and/or MicroStation skills.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Ability to read and interpret physical designs for substations.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret physical designs for utility stations through 500kV, including layouts and details.
• Understand installation of high voltage transformers, switches, breakers, and related equipment; draft sections and details as needed.
• Understand and create grounding designs under supervision.
• Interpret written specifications and implement on engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with protection/control and civil/structural teams for field connections and foundations.
• Check designs for accuracy, appearance, and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines and communicate effectively.
• Visit sites to resolve issues during engineering/construction.
