Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Substation CAD Designer to deliver substation physical design, technical support, and project coordination for transmission projects. The role covers high-voltage foundations, grounding, fencing, and equipment layouts in line with client standards and industry best practices.

You will create drawings from existing standards, interpret specifications, and collaborate with multiple design disciplines, visiting sites to advise on design issues and ensure quality

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of CAD design experience.
• Proven AutoCAD and/or MicroStation skills.

Responsibilities

• Create substation physical design drawings from client standards and industry best practices.
• Read and interpret physical designs for substations through 500kV, including foundations, grading, lighting, fencing, grounding, duct banks, and supports.
• Interpret written specifications and implement them on engineering drawings.
• Check designs for accuracy, appearance, and adherence to customer standards.
