Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Substation Supervisor to lead construction, maintenance, and repair of T&D substations in the New England area. You will oversee crews, coordinate resources with multiple sections, and drive reliability for critical assets while promoting a safety-first culture.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years in substation operations, and strong supervisory experience. Travel across MA/CT/NH may be required; on-call duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.
• Five+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of substation facilities preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews in construction and maintenance for T&D substations.
• Coordinate staffing, materials and equipment with sections and contractors per schedules and methods.
• Responsible for reliability and condition of substation assets.
• Analyze maintenance data and input into company database accurately.
• Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to employees.
• Address performance issues and conduct comprehensive reviews.
• Ensure proper application of local union contracts and agreements.
• Collaborate with managers and employees to resolve grievances and concerns.
• Direct safety awareness initiatives and monitor safety performance.
• Champion world-class safety practices and customer-first attitude.
• Handle off-hour on-call on a rotational basis; may include weekend work.
