Job summary

Crown Technical Systems is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to install electrical and mechanical components within substation enclosures. You will read engineering docs, assemble panelboards, HVAC units, battery systems, and conduits, while routing wiring per specs and maintaining quality standards.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant assembly experience, strong tool handling skills, basic math, and a focus on safety. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of assembly experience in manufacturing, production, construction, or industrial environment.
• Experience installing electrical components, conduit, wiring, panelboards, HVAC equipment, or battery systems preferred.
• Ability to read and apply blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and written work instructions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety practices.
• Basic math skills to perform measurements and meet engineering/quality specs.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, scissor lifts, overhead cranes) preferred; training may be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to complete assembly activities.
• Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components (panelboards, HVAC units, battery systems, conduit).
• Route and secure wiring and components according to specs and production requirements.
• Safely operate hand/power tools (drills, drivers, grinders) and assembly equipment.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify assemblies meet specs and quality standards.
• Identify, document, and report defective materials or equipment issues.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and production supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment per policies and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
