Black & Veatch seeks a Substation Helper to assist journeymen in planning, layout, installation, testing and repair of substation systems in accordance with plans and codes. This craft role emphasizes safety, teamwork and hands-on construction work.

Ideal candidates have NCCER Construction Craft Laborer certification, NCCER Core Curriculum, at least 2 years of substation or electrician helper experience, and the ability to obtain pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working on substations or as an electrician helper.
• Must have all necessary tools (see Substation Helper Tool List).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR).

Responsabilités

• Assist journeymen with layout, installation and testing of substation systems.
• Follow plans, specs and industry standards for safety and quality.
• Participate actively in safety discussions and hazard reporting.
