Job summary

Entergy Arkansas, LLC seeks a Utility Foreman - Grid to supervise installation, maintenance and testing of substation equipment. You will oversee emergency restoration activities, train maintenance crews, and liaise with contractors and customers to ensure safe, reliable power delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in electric utilities, 5-10 years in substation maintenance, and certification to perform switching. Onsite work across Arkansas with 24-hour callout expectations and travel 50%–75%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or related work experience.
• 5+ years' experience in electric utility industry.
• 5-10 years' experience in electrical substation maintenance or construction preferred.
• Able to work with little direction with a high level of organization to accomplish multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be available for 24-hour callout and extended hours.
• Must be certified and able to perform substation switching.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC Card and a CDL driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform all aspects of installation and maintenance of substation equipment.
• Supervise and organize emergency activities associated with the restoration of substation equipment.
• Provide field training to maintenance crews on a wide array of substation apparatus.
• Assist crews in performing equipment testing (e.g., Doble tests, Alber, Kelman Profiler).
• Provide a professional point of contact for contractors and internal/external customers.
• Ensure compliance with configuration management and maintenance procedures; support departmental goals.
• Ensure a safe work environment and promote safe work behaviors.
