Amp empirical Solutions LLC is seeking a Substation Civil Engineer focused on foundation design and analysis for substation projects. You will interpret geotechnical data, prepare foundation packages, and interface with clients and vendors while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, 3+ years of foundation/structural experience, and proficiency in L-Pile, RISA, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3+ years of foundation or structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in foundation and structural analysis software (L-Pile, RISA, AutoCAD/Civil 3D).
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and soil data interpretation.
• Experience designing foundations for utility, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of ASCE, ACI, AISC, and AASHTO standards.
• EIT/FE certification preferred; or 2 years civil design experience in lieu of FE.

Aufgaben

• Prepare scopes of work, estimates, and technical documentation for foundation engineering on substation projects.
• Identify appropriate foundation types based on geotechnical conditions and loading requirements.
• Perform advanced foundation engineering calculations including bearing capacity and settlement.
• Conduct structural analysis for substation equipment foundations and support structures.
• Develop foundation plans, sections, reinforcement details, and calculation packages.
• Interpret soil boring logs and geotechnical reports with minimal oversight.
• Interface with clients, internal teams, and vendors to coordinate design decisions.
• Apply governing codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO) independently.
• Mentor junior engineers on foundation principles and software tools.
• Provide moderate field support including reviewing excavations and reinforcement placement.
