FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking a field engineering professional to support maintenance, construction, testing and commissioning of substation equipment up to 765 kV. The role involves extensive fieldwork at company and customer facilities, with occasional support for regional activities outside the usual scope.

You will work with electrical, civil, and mechanical teams, develop energization plans, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality results in a dynamic environment.

Formación

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• PE license or ABET-equivalent degree plus advanced degree considered.
• FE certificate preferred.
• Minimum two years of engineering experience in substation environments.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe workplace per regulations and company practices.
• Commissioning new transmission substation equipment before transfer to operations.
• Develop check-out guides, review test results, and plan energization to minimize risk.
• Provide onsite technical support during preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Travel throughout the FirstEnergy system with occasional overnight stays.
