Job summary

K&A Power Group in Boston and Worcester, MA area seeks a Field Construction Manager - Substation to oversee field construction for substation and underground transmission projects. You will collaborate with project management, engineering, contractors and utility representatives to ensure safety, standards, and on-time delivery.

The role requires substantial field construction expertise in civil and electrical scopes, with strong decision-making and leadership.

Qualifications

• Substation construction experience is required.
• Knowledge of civil and electrical construction practices for utility projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day field construction management for substation and underground transmission projects.
• Coordinate civil construction activities: site development, excavation, grading, drainage, foundations, duct banks, trenches, pads, structural work.
• Oversee electrical construction: substation equipment, grounding, conduit, cables, underground transmission.
• Review drawings and specs, provide practical input; resolve field issues with engineering.
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts codes and project requirements; manage safety and quality.
