Job summary

Exo is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Substation Engineering group in Magnolia, TX. The role focuses on designing substations, managing complex projects, and guiding teams to deliver safe, compliant, high-quality engineering solutions.

You will lead cross-disciplinary efforts, coordinate with clients and vendors, and mentor junior staff while ensuring designs meet codes, safety standards, and cost targets. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• 20+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Proficiency in engineering software.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex design and analysis independently.
• Lead large teams, major projects, and programs of projects.
• Coordinate scope, schedule, and budget with project manager.
• Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project objectives.
• Consult clients, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
• Lead business development and proposal development.
• Participate within the industry.
