Job summary

Ulteig seeks an Engineering Manager for the Substation department to lead a multidisciplinary team of civil and electrical engineers and technicians. You will guide project work from proposal through construction, manage budgets, and mentor staff while coordinating with sales, marketing and project management to align with company goals.

The role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and 12+ years of engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE registration is required for this role.
• 12+ years of experience in the engineering field preferred; must be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead a substation engineering team across proposal, design and construction stages; oversee engineering scope and schedules; review drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Provide strategic direction, leadership and technical services oversight to achieve department and company goals; manage team budget, training and development.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Project Management to promote revenue growth and support cross-functional initiatives.
