Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to advance power delivery projects across multiple locations, including Reno, NV. You will partner with Project Managers and technical leaders to ensure scope, schedule and quality are met, while mentoring staff and delivering world‑class results.

Ideal candidates have PE license, 7+ years in engineering, and a proven ability to lead teams in an employee‑owned culture, with proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 7+ years of related engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• MS Office and MS Project proficiency; Access a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and commitment to employee‑owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Develops a partnership with PMs for scope, schedules, budgets, and client management.
• Works with leadership to develop processes for quality control, technical expertise, and project delivery.
• Develops trainings and mentorship plans for junior staff.
• Develops and implements a project execution plan for the technical aspects.
• Assigns tasks and provides technical guidance to project team members.
• Supports scope, schedule, and budget including proposal development and risk management.
• Coordinates quality reviews to deliver HDR-quality products.
