Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee the planning, design and implementation of Substation projects, lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, and ensure regulatory, safety and quality standards are met.

This role partners with Operations, Finance and Regulatory Affairs to drive innovation, efficiency and execution excellence across transmission and substation infrastructure, aligning engineering initiatives with strategic business goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in electric utility engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• B.S. or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• P.E. license required.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of ANSI, ASTM, NEC, NESC and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers and technical professionals.
• Oversee planning, design and execution of transmission and substation projects.
• Develop budgets, schedules and resources; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Manage risks, resolve issues affecting scope, quality and delivery.
• Provide technical guidance in design and optimization of transmission/substation systems.
