Electric Power Engineers, LLC (EPE) seeks a Director of Substation Engineering to shape and scale our utility substation practice in Austin. You will lead a high-performing team, drive strategy, and align engineering with business objectives.

You'll oversee conceptual to detailed design, capitalize on brownfield and greenfield projects, and build trusted relationships with utility clients while guiding multi-disciplinary delivery and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure.
• 12+ years of progressive electric utility substation experience.
• Experience delivering substation projects including brownfield, expansions, equipment replacements.
• Strong leadership and business development capabilities.
• Ability to develop and scale substation engineering capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Substation Engineering strategy and growth initiatives.
• Oversee conceptual through detailed design and construction support.
• Develop and maintain utility client relationships and capture opportunities.
• Manage operations, budgets, backlog, and project performance.
• Coordinate across P&C, transmission, and distribution teams.
