X4 Engineering is expanding its Texas office and seeks a licensed Lead Engineer to head a design team for substation projects. You will seal major designs as the PE, mentor engineers and CAD staff, and serve as the primary client contact on key projects.

You will oversee physical layout and P&C design, relay settings, field support, and commissioning, while growing relationships with select clients and guiding project success with technical leadership and safety best practices.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of substation engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Hands-on experience across physical layout, P&C design, relay settings, field support, commissioning.
• Experience mentoring engineers and designers.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications for project documentation.

Responsabilités

• Mentor and schedule work for junior engineers and CAD operators.
• Act as client point of contact on ongoing projects.
• Lead project design, calculations, and prepare design documents.
• Seal major design packages as the responsible PE.
• Prepare complex project documents and bid specifications.
• Lead detailed drawing reviews for clear design intent.
• Support business development with select clients.
• Promote a strong safety culture on projects.
