Job summary

E.P. Breaux Utility Services LLC is seeking a Head of Substation Engineering Division to lead and oversee engineering activities for substation projects.

This role provides technical leadership, coordinates resources, and collaborates with company leadership and project teams to support successful execution and division growth. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, active Professional Engineer licenses in both Texas and Louisiana, and experience in substation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Must hold current, active Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenses in both Texas and Louisiana.
• Experience in substation engineering or related utility projects.
• Experience leading engineering teams or overseeing engineering functions.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Substation Engineering Division’s activities and priorities.
• Provide technical direction for substation design, construction, modifications, and related projects.
• Manage engineering personnel, resources, and external engineering partners as needed.
• Oversee the preparation and review of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with leadership, project managers, field personnel, and customers to support project requirements, schedules, and budgets.
• Support compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Assist with project planning, estimating, proposals, and business development efforts.
• Address technical issues and support improvements in engineering processes and project delivery.
• Perform site visits and other related duties as needed.
