Job summary

AES Indiana is offering a Summer 2027 Substation Engineering Intern position designed to provide hands-on engineering experience in substation design and system protection. You will work with staff engineers on real projects, learning how protection schemes, relays, and substation infrastructure are developed and analyzed.

We seek a student pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, with Sophomore status or higher, and a solid academic record.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Sophomore status or higher preferred with strong academics.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist substation engineers with design and system protection projects.
• Support relay protection analysis and substation infrastructure tasks.
• Collaborate with staff engineers on project work and documentation.
